Microsoft’s advertising billboard to announce the Surface Pro 6 disappears through a shadow effect.

We like advertising actions that play with shadows and time. We remember the fantastic action of Emart where you could only see a QR code from 12 to 1 noon or the action using shadows on the wall of the Johannesburg zoo.

Now we have a similar action created by Microsoft to announce its brand new new laptop: The Surface Pro 6. This laptop is designed in an elegant matte black that makes the background fade, allowing those who use it to focus on what is really important.

So they wanted to advertise this feature in an original outdoor advertising campaign in London. Under the slogan “Designed to disappear”, Microsoft’s advertising billboard uses a play of light so that the silhouette of the Surface Pro mixes with the surroundings where it is projected. Thus, through shadows, they convert any flat surface of the city into a potential advertising fence.
